How is it made?
Quartz surfaces are manufactured through a highly automated, yet strictly monitored process:

Feeding & Mixing:
Raw materials are inspected, then fed into mixers and blended together.

Moulding:
This mixture is then poured into a mould in the form of standard slab sizes

Pressing:
The slab is then compacted by a special vacuum And vibration process.

Curing:
These are moved to the curing kiln and heated to 90ºC for 30 minutes - giving all Quartz surfaces genuine stone properties.

Polishing:
Slabs are then gauged, calibrated and polished to ensure the highest quality

Checking:
Finally, the slabs pass through quality control and checked for impurities before being shipped to manufactures of products.

Maintainance & Upkeep
Given their exceptional physical and mechanical properties, the regular maintenance of Quartz worktops only require cleaning with a neutral pH product/detergent.

Follow The instructions below:

  • After using detergent, Rinse with clean water and then use a dry cloth to buff (no streaks).
  • For the removal of any remains or waste (e.g. oil and grease, wine, vinegar, lemon, fizzy drinks, coffee...) on the surface of Quartz, all that is required is to wipe with a cloth dipped in a neutral pH detergent. Rinse with water and buff with a dry with a clean cloth.

As an example, below are some solutions to common problems:

Food / everyday Stains/ Marks

Loss of shine: Buff with a soft cloth or call us for information on products for your type of worktop.

Water lime stains:
Pour white vinegar (or any weak diluted acid) onto the surface of the worktop and leave it to work for 1 minute. Rinse with water.

Silicon stains:
Use a sharp blade and a little solvent (such as acetone or ethanol)

Hot Pans / Hot Items
Do not make a habit of placing very hot items on the Quartz surface (deep-fryers, Red Hot Pans etc.).

Do not
use water-repellents or sealers to bring out the shine

Do not
use stripping agents, caustic soda, degreasing products, or products with a pH over 10 or chlorine-based. If you use bleach or a solvent you must rinse with water and never leave them in permanent contact with the surface.

The surface of the material must not be polished, and this applies to floors and worktops.
