F.A.Q
Q: Can I select any colour of granite or quartz?
A: Yes, material is available for your custom made order in our full array of over 100 colours. Please contact our customer service team for more information on 01257 251042.
Q: I am in London, is this a problem?
A: Not at all, we have teams of templaters and installers all over the country.
Q: How long will it all take?
A: We can book a template date usually within the next 7 days, templates will take around 2 hours to construct. An installation date should be within 3 days of templates being made and installation should take around 3-4 hours.
Q: What if i have 1 worktop deeper than the others?
A: This is no problem. Standard Widths are 600mm wide but as we cut only from large sheets we can accomodate any width, or length, please contact our customer service team for more information on 0844 3510421.
Q: Where in the country do you work?
A: We work UK wide, often working on the East coast, North East of England, Southern and Central Scotland, North and Mid Wales, London and home counties.
Q: How do I order?
A: You can get a quote online or directly through our office on 0844 3510421. Once you are ready to proceed please contact our customer service team to arrange installation on the telephone.
Q: My walls are not very straight, what will you do?
A: Our teams will advise on site what can be done. Sometimes we will need to scribe the back of the granite edge. We recommend that you purchase upstands to cover any gaps. These are available in all colours.
Q: What are splashbacks? And how much are they?
A: Splashbacks or upstands, are strips of 2cm thick granite, that sit on top of the worktops, like very long tiles. This looks really nice!! They cost from only £40 per running meter, polished and fitted.
Q: How do I look after my granite, after it is fitted?
A: Granite is very hard wearing and requires little maintenance. We offer a full range of care product in our online Shop. We especially reccomend the Akemi Care Kit, and the granite care clean and sheen spray.
Q: The sink I want is an undermounted type, not the normal inset (sink fits in from the top type) Could you explain, and can this kind of cutout be done?
A: Yes of course! A standard sink cutout is the inset sink type, a moulded sink that sits in from the top, covering the raw edge. Undermounted sinks are much more popular now although the cutout for this is a very specialised operation, and needs to be done in our workshop on the CnC machine. Anyone who claims this can be done on site, will give you a poorer finish than a CnC finish, as our machines are accurate to 0.1mm!!.
Q: What is the normal proceedure once I order from you?
A: Simply get a quote online, and confirm your instructions to our customer services team, pay a small (£200) deposit and that's it! you could have your worktops within 10 days! Alternatively please contact our customer service team for more information, and for any other options.
Q: I was thinking of Quartz Solid Surfaces, does the same rules apply?
A: Quartz is a relatively new solid surface material, in the last 10 years. We stock and specialise in Compac and Quarella Quartz. We hold at least 100 sheets of this material in stock and display over 30 colours. The whole system for Quartz is the same as above. You can select any colour of quartz in our online quote system
