Star Galaxy Granite Worktops Display in North West England
Granite Care have now completed their latest display in their Haydock Showroom, this display shows Star Galaxy Granite Worktops, on a cream high gloss kitchen. It features a Flush Fitting Neff Induction Hob, in a 3100mm length worktop, and a recessed drainer with Franke BBX 160 sink, as well as a Franke Swiss Pro tap, and an Insinkerator Instant Hot Water kettle tap. It shows a Breakfast bar Island, with large matching backpanel, 150mm upstands on the walls with a large curved splashback behind the cooker. This is one of the most complete live displays in the UK, and further enhances Granite Care’s position as the leading Granite and Quartz Supplier.
Granite Worktops - The Facts - Advice and Tips
Here at Granite Care Limited we have a depth of knowledge that spans over 50 years. We are the 3rd generation of stonemasons in the family, and can draw from our wealth of experience and knowledge to give you, our customers the facts on Granite Worktops.
Are Granite Worktops hard? Yes they are very hard, and difficult to damage, however all things hards are often brittle, therefore, installation is the danger time. Once Granite Worktops are fitted it is extremely difficult to damage them.
Are Granite Worktops prone to staining? No. It is difficult to stain dark granite. Often sealing dark granites can have an adverse effect, and stains or milky clouds, can appear where the integrity of the sealant, has been compromised. We do not recommend sealing Absolute Black Granite, or Star Galaxy Granite. We do recommend sealing all lighter coloured granites as they will soak in the sealant, and this will give a lasting protection. Ask your supplier for specifics on which granites to seal.
How long will Granite Worktops Last? The simple answer is a lifetime. Granite is one of the hardest surfaces known to man. During normal working conditions, it will never ever wear out.

What maintenance is required with Granite Worktops? Simply wipe with a multi surface cleaner, preferably anti-bacterial, then dry with kitchen roll. Periodic sealing with Akemi Care kit, if required and as directed.

Granite Worktops Showroom Progress Report
Our new Haydock showroom now has its first completed kitchen display, showing Compac Absolute Blanc White Quartz Worktops, with a Neff Flush Fitted Induction Hob, and a Franke Villeroy and Boch vbk 160 white ceramic sink, all set out on Red High Gloss Units and doors.
We have fitted upstands and a large splashback joining the worktops to a Franke Swing hood in black.
The whole display looks faboulous and is a clear indication of what we are trying to acheive in the new showroom.
The next kitchen has been fitted which is a full kitchen with Island and breakfast bar, made in a high gloss cream, which will feature Star Galaxy Granite Worktops, upstands and splashback, and matching end panels.
