Quartz Worktops: What You Need To Know
It is a well know fact that Quartz, as a material, is man-made and should be kept indoors. This is because of the simple reason that Quartz will weather and loose its polish and durability if left outside.
This fact is known by Granite Care and any other authority in the Quartz business like Compac, who are Quartz Suppliers. These companies know that customers will not want to purchase Quartz that is weathered and more likely to crack and break because it has been weakened by wind, sun or rain.
However, some companies will try and succeed at selling you Quartz that has been outside and is worn down and you will end up losing out in the end while the company makes a gain. This means that you should choose your Quartz Supplier carefully.
Do not be afraid to ask Questions such as where the company’s supplier of Quartz is or how their Quartz is stored before producing your Worktops. This will put you in the know and help you to make the decision of where you should purchase your Quartz Worktops from.
Granite Care is happy to disclose that all of the Quartz that they have in stock is kept indoors in a warehouse (free from any weathering) which will keep the Worktops as polished, shiny and durable as when they were produced.
Below shows Granite Care’s brilliant warehouse that stocks all their Quartz materials:

Granite Care have never and will never compromise the Quality of their Quartz Worktops. But other companies might.

Granite Quartz Worktops at Granite Care
Granite Care specialise in Templating, Producing and Fitting Granite Worktops and Quartz Worktops.
Some people get confused between Granite and Quartz Worktops. In this article, Granite Care hopes to rectify this problem.
It would be helpful to firstly describe what Granite and Quartz are. There is one key main difference between the two. This being Granite is a natural material whereas Quartz is man-made.
Because Granite is a natural material which comes from the earth, there are natural pores and pits within it which can soak up anything from water to an acidic drink. This means that Granite Worktops must be sealed every 6-12 months to prevent the Granite being stained from anything that goes into its pores/pits. Although, Granite is almost non-porous and so will be equally as stain-resistant and anti-bacterial as Quartz Worktops.
In Contrast, because Quartz is a man-made material, it is sealed when being produced so has no pits or open pores, making it non-porous and virtually stain-resistant, although it is still best to keep them clean and not leave anything on them that could stain for a long period of time.
This difference does not reflect on how hard-wearing the materials are, as they are both very hard, durable materials. This makes it very hard to crack/scratch or chip them, even when putting excess weight on them.
This difference only reflects on the Worktops surfaces when maintaining them.
Granite Worktops must be sealed every 6-12 months to keep them as non-porous as possible and no stains from entering the Worktop. Whereas Quartz never need to be sealed and all that is needed to clean them is a simple cleaning spray and a microfibre cloth, which are available from most supermarkets.
Hopefully, you will now understand the differences between the two and be able to make a clear choice of which Material you would like to have as your Kitchen Worktops.
