Quartz worktops are one notch higher and offer all the benefits of granite worktops, and in addition do not require any maintenance and are virtually unstainable. Quartz is the man made alternative to granite, and is made from grinding both natural granite and natural quartz rock and mixing together with a coloured resin to create a sheet of Quartz.

At Signature Surfaces we fabricate worktops from quartz stones from Compac, Silestone, Caeserstone, and Samsung.

Granite Worktops or Quartz Worktops

Granite Worktops are made from natural Granite extracted from the ground. Granite Worktops have been extremely popular throughout the last 10 years or so, and continue to be popular as they bring an element of richness to the Kitcben. Granite is also a hard, solid, durable material that is perfect for the strains of the modern Kitchen.

Granite Worktops come in a variety of Granite Worktop Colours, ranging from lights to darks. Therefore, whatever the Colour of your Kitchen, you will always find a Granite Colour that suits you.

Quartz on the other hand, is a man-made material, manufactured from compounding together different Granites and resins then this mixture is sealed completely, to give a smooth polished surface. Quartz also comes in a wide range of Quartz Worktop Colours. A lot more Colours are available in Quartz than in Granite, therefore you can have any colour you desire for your Kitchen, ranging from your generic Worktop Colours such as Black, Cream, Black Sparkly, to rarer Colours such as Red, Orange, White, etc. You will always find a Colour to suit you and your Kitchen.

Therefore, Granite and Quartz are both fantastic choices for your Kitchen Worktops as both materials will last you a lifetime in quality, meaning they are practical and they will always be in style.

Granite Worktops and Quartz Worktops are both on display at Granite Care’s Wigan Worktops and Kitchen Showroom and at Granite Care’s Haydock Worktop Showroom
