Granite Worktops Kitchen Surfaces, Always In Style
If you are shopping around for new Kitchen Surfaces for your home, there is one thing you should always bear in mind. Granite Worktops are well known for their hardness and durability, their rich look and that they have classic style. Granite Worktops have been around for hundreds of years although the biggest advantage to them is that they are always in fashion and are known for their rich style. Granite Worktops will never give off the impression that they have become dated as, if you regularly maintain them they will always keep their shine due to their High Polished Surface and the Worktop Colour will remain constant and never dull.
The maintenance that Granite entails comes down to keeping the Surfaces as clean as you can at all times and regularly sealing the surfaces with a Granite Sealant every 6-12 months. Depending on your Colour Choice, you will be given a timescale on the amount of times you need to seal the Granite. If you are going for a lighter Worktop Colour such as Kashmir White, Kashmir Gold or Venetian Gold, you will need to seal the Granite every 3-6 months. This is because if staining does occur, it will be a lot more noticeable on a lighter coloured surface and so more care needs to be taken to seal the surface so that spilled foodstuffs or liquids cannot penetrate the material. Whereas, with darker Granites such as Star Galaxy or Absolute Black, these only need to be sealed between every 6-12 months which may be more suited to you and your Kitchen.
